Now for the good stuff. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. reported that several boats made it out offshore. One boat retuned to the dock with a blackfin tuna, 63 inch bluefin tuna, a yellowfin tuna that weighted in at a whooping 93 pounds and the same boat released a blue marlin that was estimated to be 200 pounds what a nice surprise.

Out of Virginia Beach anglers are finding Tog around the wrecks. The Rudee Angler made it out to the deep for a deep drop trip. Anglers were rewarded with catches of chomper blue fish and nice hauls of tile fish.

White Marlin on the Point Runner (OBX)
Tue, May 5 2015

The Oregon Inlet Fishing Center put together this fine group for us today. Michael & Alex, Brock, Bill & Lori, & Ted enjoyed fair seas and pretty good fishing. We did not get the tuna bite we were hoping for, but did catch and release our first white marlin of the season plus put some nice mahi on ice including a 35 pounder!
